Testimony of Rev. V. David Barnabas
I was born in a good Christian family with my two brothers and one sister. Our parents taught us about Christ through Bible stories from our small age. I accepted Christ when I was eight years old.
When I was doing my school, my parents use to tell me that you must go for Lord's work. These words rooted in my heart very deeply and in due course I was able to feel God's call in my life.
After my college studies I joined in a missionary organization. I had a burden to preach the gospel to the people, who had never heard the gospel. I was sent to a remote place of Orissa state in India to work among the HO tribe. Even though it was very tough in the beginning, God helped me to learn their language and preach the gospel to them. In the midst of opposition God brought many families to accept Christ. I worked there for five years and then I came back to my own mother church to be a Pastor.
For the past several years God has been so good to me in my pastoral ministry. Now I can say that God had a definite purpose in bringing me back to my own place. God has given me a very good ministry in the church.
I and my wife Alice Glory and our two sons Joel Nicolas and Clement Jason are happy in the Lord. Remember us in your prayers.

Till 1985 our church did not have a Church building and we had gathered in different rental places. By God’s grace our hands were strengthened to build this present building. Now this church acts as a mother church for the other branches. I. Ministries of the Church: 1. For Believers edification,
2. For reaching the unreached, we have different programs in our church. Most of the time, whole church will be involving in our outreach ministry. 1. VISITATIONS: Our Bible Women are doing Hospital Visitation and also visiting Homes to take the Gospel to non-Christian Women. 2. CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES FOR NON CHRISTIANS: On Sundays we have Children’s Meetings separately for Christian children and Hindu children in the church building after worship service. Besides, we conduct children’s classes at 5 Centers in the city. By this way we are able to reach the parents also.

Madurai Main First Baptist Church was started in 1974 by 8 dedicated people. They were lead by God to start this Fundamental Baptist Church. By God’s grace it grew spiritually and numerically. God has blessed this church with other three more branch Churches. From this church more than 12 people have gone for full time ministry and many others who grew in this Church are useful in God’s ministry in different places. We have different programs for edification and evangelization. 
we have regular Bible Studies on Fridays and on Sunday Morning and Evening meetings. Also we have prayer meetings on Tuesdays and women’s meetings on Wednesday and separate meetings for young men, young women, youth boys and girls and special classes for church children on Sundays. 
God has provided a LCD projector and this helps us to meet the people with Gospel through films. The people those who do not have proper understanding about Christ are being benefited through this program. Mostly we do this ministry in villages. Sometimes, large number of people gathers for this program. This is a very good media to reach a mass at a time.Friends and Believers Mission (FBM)

Mission Moto: Bind Hands to Build His Kingdom
Mission Objectives:
Main objective of this Mission is to plant Churches in cities and in remote areas of our country. Through this mission we encourage and use the people those who are called by God for this ministry, and also we encourage young people to go to remote areas of our county to get their employment, to be a witness for Christ along with their job, were where there is no witness for Christ. We consider these men and women as our missionary and we support them with our prayers.
Vision Statement:
- Before 2020 plant a church in every district of Tamilnadu through this Mission.
- Train and send people to north India those who are committed their life for full time ministry, to preach the Gospel to every person and to plant churches among every people group.
- Encourage youngsters those who have burden for lost souls, to go to north India to get employment there to be a witness for Christ along with their job, where there is no Christian witnesses.
Why Churches in Every district of Tamilnadu? :
- As our Lord has commanded us to be a witnes from Jerusalem and to the uttermost part of the world, we feel that we must start from Tamilnadu.
- We need to start from Tamilnadu because still we have so many places un-reached.
- Also we feel that we must raise quality churches to raise quality workers for the Lord’s Vineyard and also we believe that they will be our mission supporters in the future.
Sending committed ones to North India:
As we are living in India, we are responsible to our country and God will ask us account about our country regarding its salvation.
Because we love our country and our people, we expect them also to inherit the eternal hope and salvation.
Support of the Mission:
To do the ‘Church Planting Ministry’ more effectively, our established 3 Churches are contributing some funds towards Church Planting Ministry besides Meeting all other expenses for their respective Local Churches. We also raise funds from our friends and believers those who have the same burden for Church Planting. We expect God to provide more supporters for this mission to carry on its mission and to expand its vision in the future.
What is Church Planting Project?
In this Mission we have planned a seven years Church planting project. For the first five years we support the church planter in full and on the sixth year we cut the one third of the support and the mission expect the local church to meet that one third amount and on the seventh year the mission cut another one third of the support and the mission expect the local church to support the two third amount and on the eighth year the mission expects the church to be self supporting
Present Church Planting Works:
By Gods' Grace we have placed 4 Church Planters at different districts of our Tamilnadu state last year and it is growing. In three places some have come forward to confess their faith through water baptism. We need your prayers and if God moves you to support this ministry financially please do so. We need at least Rs. 12000/- per month per church.

We expect God to move His people to stand with us in prayer by giving the real burden for the unsaved people in India which has the population of one hundred and fifteen crore (1,15,00,00,000).
